DevOps Engineer

Average Work Hours (weekly unless noted): 40 hours/week
Average Salary (yearly in dollars unless noted): $100K - $125K
Description: The DevOps Engineer is responsible for enhancing existing development lifecycle operations and helping the Iris Energy team handle the adoption of new DevOps practices with cutting-edge cloud technologies. The position will require the DevOps Engineer to enhance the existing Maven, Jenkins, and GitLab pipelines with CloudFormation and improve build scripts utilizing the available cloud features. The DevOps Engineer is also expected to analyze and troubleshoot any deployment issues and be able to document and update the existing procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements: BA/BS degree in a related field and 4+ years' experience in software development; Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Bash, etc.); Experience with Infrastructure automation tools such as CloudFormation; Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills; Familiarity with Release Management tools (i.e. Ansible, Terraform).

Software Developer

Description: The Software Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a suite of products used to build, analyze and monitor energy infrastructures. In this role you will work collaboratively across software engineering and product teams to design, develop, and implement a wide range of functionality in our Kubernetes, Google Cloud, and MS Azure cloud stacks. You will work with colleagues to ensure the design and development of efficient, reliable, and maintainable code.
Qualifications / Requirements: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years of experience with as a software developer and web/RESTful APIs; Extensive knowledge of C++, C#, Javascript and Python; Experience with distributed systems and microservices; Proven experience developing applications in cloud environments; Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.

QA Engineer

Description: The QA Engineer will work with the development team of the Iris Energy platform, to assess the quality and usability of the platform by creating and executing automated and manual tests. This role is designed to provide the team with maximum value for quality assurance. The QA Engineer duties include creating and maintaining test plans, automating and executing tests, tracking, identifying and fixing software defects, and working with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications / Requirements: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years of experience in software testing & QA; Experience with distributed systems and microservices; Good understanding of software development principals and web technologies; Proven experience in automated and manual testing; Good problem solving, debugging, data analysis and communication skills.

Data Scientist

Description: The Data Scientist will analyze and process large datasets for Iris Energy, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning and predictive modeling technologies. The Data Scientist will have the opportunity to independently develop algorithms for predictive analytics, time-series analysis, sentiment analysis, customer segmentation, clustering and regression analysis. The Data Scientist will work in close cooperation with the Software Development team to improve applications and user experiences.

Description: The Cloud Architect will be responsible for managing and leading the technology plans and initiatives for the Iris Energy’s cloud-based products. As a Cloud Architect, the incumbent will use their expertise to design successful solutions that are easily scalable, secure and cost-effective. The Cloud Architect will have a strong aptitude for maintaining core infrastructure services and be comfortable examining complex problems and selecting the best technologies to meet customer needs.
Qualifications / Requirements: BA/BS in computer science, engineering or related field; 5+ years' experience with cloud solution architecture and architecture framework; Extensive knowledge of AWS and Azure; Working knowledge of DevOps, microservices and CI/CD; Deep understanding of distributed systems; Experience with legacy components, data security and application integration.
