Platform Engineer

Average Work Hours (weekly unless noted): 40-45 hours/week

Description: Responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining Jumia's platforms, systems, and networks to ensure they maintain optimal performance and scalability. Must perform root cause analysis, track system issues and bugs, and also assist with triaging and diagnosing system issues. Must stay up to date with new development techniques, technologies and platforms.
Qualifications / Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience with software engineering, distributed systems, web technologies, algorithms, and complex systems design. Data Scientist

Description: Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data derived from Jumia's applications, websites, and online platforms. Must use advanced algorithms and statistical techniques to uncover patterns and develop models to find solutions to complex business problems. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and department managers to help design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions.
Qualifications / Requirements: At least 3-5 years experience in a data science or analytics role. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar field. Strong programming skills, including Python, R, SQL, and machine learning algorithms.

Full-Stack Web Developer

Description: Responsible for developing, testing and maintaining web applications that support Jumia's online presence. Must design and implement new features, maintain user experience, ensure optimal backend performance and scalability. Collaborate with other developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to design, develop and implement cutting edge websites.
Qualifications / Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in development, experienced with web languages like HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, React, Angular. UX/UI Designer
